Commencement of Work, Year – 2022 at Karaitivu Divisional Secretariat
The inaugural event of the year 2022, to fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Sri Lanka was held at the Karaitivu Divisional Secretariat under the Divisional Secretary Mr. Sivagyanam Jegarajan.This ceremony was happened in accordance with the health guidelines given to prevent Covid -19. Accordingly, below mentioned programme followed in this regard.
- Singing the National Anthem after hoisting the National Flag through alternative arrangements to ensure the representation of all staff members in accordance with the Health Guidelines.
- Observing two minutes silence to commemorate the war heroes and others who sacrificed their lives on behalf of the motherland.
- Reading aloud the Oath of Public Servants (attached herewith) in any language convenient for the members of the staff.
- Delivering a brief speech by a resource person from an officer in the field of Health, which emphasizes the responsibility of each individual and the society as a whole to prevent the spread of Covid -19, which is the major health issue faced by the country at present.
- Delivering a brief and motivating speech on the requirement of committed contribution of the Public Service to achieve the targets and unique priorities in the policy statement of the government in order to create a productive citizen, happy family, disciplined, fair and Blue/Green country.
